According to Al-Ghad, a 19-year-old female student of the University of Science in Technology died after being stabbed repeatedly on the university campus.
A security source said that the student was transferred to King Abdullah University Hospital with multiple stab wounds on Wednesday. She died a few hours later.
The source added that the body had been transferred to forensics to determine the cause of death.
Police have arrested a suspect, believed to be a family member, in the stabbing incident. The attack is believed to be a personal matter and other students are not at immediate risk.
Authorities have not released the name of the girl. The university has not yet issued a public statement about the attack.
