Three major Jordanian daily newspapers received bomb threats on Saturday, but police searches turned up no explosives.
Reacting to the threats, the management of Ad-Dustour, Al Rai and Al Arab Al Yawm newspapers evacuated their respective buildings and called the security authorities for help.
The police instructed them to keep all the buildings empty and inspected the premises, but found nothing.
An employee at one of the dailies told Albawaba.com, “Our building was evacuated and we stayed outside for more than an hour and a half waiting for the security forces to investigate, but it became clear that it was a false alarm.” - Albawaba.com
