Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Dahabi chaired a Cabinet session on Monday morning where he informed the ministers on the details of the upcoming reshuffle. A source at the Prime ministry told Petra that Dahabi held a meeting prior to the cabinet meeting with the resigning ministers leaving the cabinet and thanked them for their efforts.
According to the source, ten new ministers will enter the cabinet while five ministers will exchange portfolios. According to Reuters, Dahabi changed the foreign, interior and finance posts.
Jordan Times reported on Sunday that among the expected newcomers is Musa Maaitah, a veteran leftist, who is said to have been offered the political development portfolio. Other names include Walid Maani for the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry, Nayef Qadi for the Interior Ministry and Abdul Karim Khawaldeh for Health Ministry.
