King Abdullah of Jordan is to start a European tour, which will include Belgium, France, and the United Kingdom on Monday for discussions regarding latest developments in the Middle East, a senior official at the Jordanian palace told the Kuwait News Agency on Saturday.

The Monarch is expected to discuss reservations regarding a comprehensive settlement for the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Furthermore, he is to explain, in the course of his tour, that any effort, movement, or conference must be based on international resolutions, especially with regards to the Madrid conference's decisions, which adopted the land-for-peace principle, and the Arab peace initiative ratified in March by the Arab league.

In addition, the source said that the King is expected to deliver a speech at the EU capital of Brussels on June 12.

King Abdullah will be the first Arab leader to deliver a speech in the EU capital since his late father, King Hussain bin Talal’s 1995 speech.

The source added that King Abdullah would also visit Japan later this month. (albawaba.com)
