Jordan’s King Abdullah II headed for Belgium on Monday at the start of a European tour, which is to include France and Britain.

The king is expected to hold talks with high-level officials in the three countries, dealing with the situation in the Middle East, notably the Palestinian issue.

King Abdullah, who is accompanied by his wife, Queen Rania, is to meet, during his tour, with the King of Belgium Albert II and Queen Paula, NATO secretary general George Robertson, the European Union Foreign Policy head Javier Solana, the European commission president Romano Prodi and the European Union president Pat Cox, according to KUNA.

The monarch will deliver a speech before the EU. It is expected to highlight the Jordanian and Arab concept for a final solution for the Arab-Israeli conflict. (albawaba.com)
