As many as 24 Arab and Muslim countries are expected to attend a conference on "the future of Islam in the new lunar century," scheduled to be held in Amman next week.
The three-day conference aims at shedding light on violence and terrorism from the Islamic perspective as well as on the vision of Islam on the conflict of civilizations, the revolution of telecommunications and technology and the impact of globalization on the Muslim world, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
A number of papers will be delivered at the conference on the problems and challenges, which face Islam and Muslims. (Albawaba.com)
