Amman, March 17 (Petra) – Authorities will begin round-the-clock operations at the Jaber border crossing with Syria starting Sunday, March 23, the Interior Ministry announced Monday.

The decision, implemented after coordination with Syrian authorities, brings the crossing's operating hours in line with the Al-Omari border post on the Saudi frontier and comes just ahead of the anticipated surge in travel during Eid al-Fitr.

Officials have finalized comprehensive security and logistical arrangements to ensure efficient processing at the crossing, which has been handling increased volumes of commercial shipments and passenger traffic in recent months.

The expanded hours aim to reduce congestion, minimize wait times for travelers, and strengthen commercial exchange between the neighboring countries.
