Jordan’s Minister of Transport, Nadir Dahabi met with Egyptian Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Hijazi on Monday in Amman. The two discussed the recommendations of the Higher Committee and the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian transport committee as well as measures taken to implement those recommendations, according to the Jordan News Agency.
The two reviewed the schedule of the upcoming meeting to be held between the Jordanian and Egyptian Ministers of Transport on January 29 in Cairo, Egypt.
Dahabi expressed Jordan's readiness to provide the necessary facilitation for Egyptian pilgrims crossing Jordan and provide additional ships to transport them between the Nweibi' and Aqaba ports.
He asked the Egyptian authorities to coordinate with the Jordanian Ministry of Transport and provide it as soon as possible with the numbers of pilgrims and their travel plans in Jordan in order to take the necessary measures and provide them with needed services. (Albawaba.com)
