Having the latest trend in hair colour and style just got easier for Jordan’s discerning fashion elite as Emad Bazzi officially opened his new salon in the Four Seasons Hotel. The salon, located in the arcade of the hotel, held an open day for over 500 dignitaries, VIP clients and media who were shown the brand new facilities on offer as well as the outstanding range of L’Oréal Professionnel products in use at the salon.
From the minute a client enters the salon, they will be able to experience the benefit of the L’Oréal Professionnel way. The salon is 100% L’Oréal and according to Bazzi, “one of the few select salons to use Kérastase Rituals. We have L’Oréal products for all hair types and offer them as part of our service.”
Bazzi started looking at the feasibility of setting up in the Four Seasons hotel in 2003 and carried out extensive research on the opportunities of this location. The salon then took over a year and a half to set up, decorate and equip. The hotel location and future direction and growth of his hairdressing business were influential in deciding on the final atmosphere and design that the salon would take. Well known Jordanian Interior Designer, Osama Juma’an, was enlisted to provide the best possible setting; simplicity with elegance. Steel and glass blend with the most state-of-the-art equipment available on the market.
Emad adds that he is “so precise about his clients’ needs that the salon even has its own dry-cleaning area for towels and an upper level VIP area for clients requiring more privacy.”
Why L’Oréal Professionnel?
Offering leading-edge technology from one of the fashion industry capitals, L’Oréal Professionnel Paris is a premium brand name, with strong added value in the world of cutting edge hair trends. L’Oréal Professionnel is committed to supporting hairdressers on their journey towards success and remains focused on providing high technology in beauty, fashion and business services to motivate hairdressers to become the world’s greatest.
“I have worked with many brands, but with L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, I feel that they have incomparable service, great products and are keen to provide constant training to ensure all staff are able to use all their products in a professional manner to the best effect,” enthuses Bazzi. “L’Oréal Professionnel provides comprehensive treatments, rather than just a product”.
At the new salon, a professional colouration consultation can be provided by over 25 hairdressers through the L’Oréal Professionnel COLOR STUDIO which works as a unique tool for a precise technical diagnosis. To provide the clients with a complete and unique hair make-over, the salon uses L’Oréal’s Professionnel Serie Expert hair care range and the L’Oréal Professionnel Techni.art styling range in addition to L’Oréal Professionnel Hair Coloration.
About Emad Bazzi
Emad has been in the hairdressing business for 18 years and opened his first salon, ‘Nicola Jane’, in Sweifieh in 1990. In 1997 he closed this salon down and moved to Abdoun where he considerably modernised the salon environment, introducing a new style and atmosphere to his clientele.
By 2000 he was opening his second branch in the same building, specialising in hair care for more traditional Arabic women as well as offering facial and skin care, pedicures, manicures, hair extensions and make-up. Emad’s brother, Mohammed, handles the make-up side of the business.
Bazzi explains that “we cater for all our customers needs, including wedding preparation, either in the salon or in the home or hotel and for many clients, we even travel abroad to enable them to have their trusted stylist and make up artist there on the big day”.
Last year, Bazzi opened his third branch behind the American Embassy in Abdoun. Having a group of salons has enabled Bazzi and his staff to be nearer and better connected to their client base and able to offer their services to more clients at a given time. As all three salons are close together, it is not difficult for customers to reach any of them.
Emad’s training record is very comprehensive and full of accreditations. “1993 was very important for me professionally“, he says, “I took a very important first training course with Tony & Guy in London on creative hairstyling and make-up, with the focus on professional models.” Bazzi followed this, in 1994, with training on classical styling carried out by Patrick Cameron.
In 1995 Tony & Guy arrived in Jordan and Bazzi took the opportunity to advance himself professionally by enlisting in the workshops they had on offer. His hard work paid off and in each of the years 1995, ’96, ’97 and ’98 he received Tony & Guy training awards for his endeavours.
In 1998 L’Oréal Professionnel increased their presence and salon support in the Jordanian market and as a representative agent for their products, Bazzi was able to attend training courses offered by them. During that year, he received awards from both Tony & Guy and L’Oréal Professionnel.
In 2001, 2002 and 2003 Emad travelled extensively through Europe attending training courses with L’Oréal Professionnel, Tony & Guy and others. In 2003 he participated in the International Hair Stylist Show in Florence, Italy.
As for the future, Emad is now looking at opening salons as far afield as New York, Rome and Paris.
