ALBAWABA - United States President Joe Biden has landed in Israel on a high-stakes mission following the atrocious Israeli attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

Air Force One touched down just before 11 a.m. at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to welcome Biden personally on the tarmac.

Along with his stop in Israel, Biden was supposed to join Abdullah II of Jordan, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the Jordanian capital Amman upon the invitation of King Abdullah to discuss the latest updates on the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

However, following the brutal Israeli attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza which left hundreds killed and hundreds more injured, President Abbas decided to withdraw from attending the summit, which was followed by Jordan's announcement of canceling the summit.

Later on, Biden announced cancelling his trip to Jordan and that he will directly be heading to Israel.
