Last night 29-year-old Jodi Arias spoke with CBS’s 48 Hours, and restated her plea of innocence. She is currently awaiting the beginning of her trial where she faces first-degree murder charges for the death of her boyfriend, Travis Alexander.
Alexander was found June 9, 2008 in his shower. Police say he was shot in the head and stabbed 27 times. Jodi Arias continues to maintain her innocence even though she was with Travis the night he died, and captured some of his last moments on her digital camera. According to Jodi Arias, two disguised intruders, a man and a woman came into Alexander’s house and killed him.
Jodi Arias said to 48 hours, “I’ve been sitting a lot in my cell thinking what a waste. You know, I did have my whole future ahead of me, a career a marriage and a family. I had everything to lose and nothing to gain if I killed Travis….Everything is gonna work out. And it’s gonna be OK.”
