Jewish Settlers Under Israeli Police Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Scores of Jewish settlers on Monday stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Haram Al Sharif compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses told Petra’s reporter in Ramallah that the radical settlers, accompanied by Jewish rabbis, carried out the raids from al-Magharebah Gate, under heavy protection of Israeli police.

"The intruders toured the courtyards of the Mosque and performed their Talmudic rituals before they left from Al-Silsila Gate, amid a state of anger inside the compound," the eyewitnesses added.

"Also today, Israeli soldiers stormed the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Al-Bireh and several neighbourhoods in occupied East Jerusalem, and arrested 17 citizens," the Palestinian Prisoners' Society said in a statement.
