A number of Jewish settlers attacked two Palestinian neighborhoods in the West Bank city of Nablus Wednesday, burning several houses and destroying fields under the protection of the Israeli army, said Al Jazeera satellite TV channel.
The channel's correspondent said that Jewish settlers entered the neighborhoods of Sawyeh and Lebban in east Nablus, injuring a number of Palestinians.
He added that ambulances were prevented from carrying away the victims.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that the Israeli army entered the town of Salfit, northern Nablus.
