Japanese PM to meet Trump during 3-day trip to the US

ALABWABA - Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishia will be meeting with the President of the United States Donald Trump during a three-day trip to Washington D.C., the Japanese government announced Tuesday.

The government in Japan also reported that the country's PM will be visiting the US and meeting with Trump during his trip from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8.

Ishiba and Trump are likely to discuss how to enhance bilateral alliance between Japan and the US to stay aware amid fears posed by North Korea and China. In addition to discussing a free and open Indo-Pacific.

Nonetheless, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to visit the US on Feb. 12, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, adding the Washington trip will be after the PM's visit to Paris.

Modi will attend the Artificial Intelligence Action summit in the French capital, Paris on Feb. 10 and 11.
