Japan Grants Jordan $2.27m for Vocational Training Projects

Japan has granted Jordan JD 1.6 million (approximately $2.27m) to finance the purchase of vocational training equipment for the physically handicapped, reported Jordan’s official Petra news agency on Sunday.  

The agreement was signed at the ministry of planning and the Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Shintaro Sasaki.  

The project aims to supply equipment to vocational training  

institutes, which help physically handicapped persons attain-support capabilities, achieve social integration and learn job skills required for employment.  

The donated equipment includes the industrial sewing machines, electronic hand drills and air compressors among other items, said the agency – Albawaba.com
