Italy’s President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi arrived in Morocco’s capital city of Rabat Tuesday for an official visit at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.
President Ciampi, who is accompanied by his spouse Franca Ciampi was welcomed upon his arrival by Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation minister Mohamed Benaissa, according to Maghreb Arabe Presse.
The Italian President was then given a red-carpet welcome by King Mohammed VI at the Mechouar Square in downtown Rabat.
President Ciampi is accompanied by a delegation including parliament and government officials. (Albawaba.com)
