Israeli forces on Sunday shot and killed two Palestinians in the south Gaza area of Rafah who were attempting to "smuggle weapons" from Egypt, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, Israeli soldiers arrested a third Palestinian man also involved in the attempt and took him in for questioning. The troops found explosives nearby, which were safely detonated by Israeli sappers, the radio said.
Meanwhile, Jafar Mohammed Eid Al-Abod, a Palestinian teen, was martyred Saturday night in Nablus city after sustaining serious wounds in the Israeli army’s incursion into that city on November 10, 2004.
The 16-year-old teenager was seriously wounded in the onslaught three months ago and was carried to the Makased hospital in occupied Jerusalem.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, mourned the martyr via loudspeakers and called on Nablus inhabitants to take part in his funeral procession on Sunday.
