Israeli Telecom Minister Reuven Rivlin got a cake in the face at the Knesset on Wednesday. An angry female demonstrator launched the dessert while protesting against a telecom law she said favored the rich.
The minister later said the cake “didn't taste good,” according to Radio Israel.
The woman was protesting against the so-called Bezeq Law, which she felt was offering preferential treatment to rich businessmen at the expense the public.
Bezeq was the local telecom monopoly until the government decided to open the market to competition.
According to the protesters, this made room for leading businessmen to gain more control of the economy – Albawaba.com
