An Israeli missile killed at least two Palestinian activists and injured a third in the central Gaza Strip Friday, medical staff and Hamas security sources said. According to them, the fighters were members of the Islamic Jihad group who were on foot east of the Maghazi refugee camp, close to the fence with Israel, when they were targeted.
The attack near Bureij in the southern part of the Gaza Strip killed two 20-year-old members of the Islamic Jihad - Ayman Abu Said and Mohammed al-Hazin - said the sources. An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed an airstrike had been carried out against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
