ALBAWABA - An Israeli special force arrested on Wednesday Palestinian photojournalist Moath Amarneh, 37, while he was leaving Bethlehem towards the city of Hebron in the West Bank.

The New Arab reported that the Israeli force intercepted his vehicle near the entrance to the town of Husan, forcing him to stop, and confiscating his ID and mobile phone.

Asid Amarneh, a relative of the detained journalist, said, "the arrest was carried out suddenly and quickly. An Israeli special forces force forced him out of his vehicle at gunpoint and confiscated his ID and mobile phone."

Amarneh further mentioned that the force members were wearing civilian clothes and driving a regular, non-military vehicle, and were wearing hats bearing the logo of the Israeli security forces.

The Palestinian journalist's relative outlined that noted that Moath Amarneh's wife was with him at the time of his arrest, and that the Israeli special force asked her to leave the area in her vehicle, informing her that he would be transferred to the Etzion detention center, between Bethlehem and Hebron.
