Israeli Soldiers Detain Five Palestinians in Pre-Dawn Raids in West Bank

Israeli forces reportedly detained five Palestinians during predawn raids across the occupied West Bank, according to official Palestinian Authority (PA)-owned Wafa news agency.

Wafa quoted the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) as saying that two Palestinians were detained from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

According to the report, Israeli forces raided the town of Halhoul in northern Hebron, and detained one Palestinian after breaking into his family home. His identity remained unknown.

Another Palestinian was detained after Israeli forces reportedly stormed and ransacked his home in the Hebron-area town of Dura. His identity remained unknown.

 

 

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained one unidentified Palestinian.

Wafa added that two other Palestinians were detainedraids into the Nablus and Jerusalem districts.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that four Palestinians were detained overnight.

Israeli military detention raids in the Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps are a near-nightly occurrence.

According to U.N. documentation, between April 24 and May 7, Israeli forces conducted 127 search and arrest operations and arrested 151 Palestinians in the West Bank.
