ALBAWABA - Israeli settlers assaulted American journalist and activist Jasper Nathaniel while he was documenting their attacks on olive pickers in the village of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, on Sunday, the journalist posted on his official X account.

Settlers attacked the American journalist and activist after he filmed their attacks on Palestinians on the first day of olive harvest season, preventing them from completing their job, and forcibly forcing them to leave their lands.

He wrote that at "8:37 AM, I got out of the car and walked with my hands up to talk to soldiers. They pointed their guns and questioned me. I told them I was American, and we were just trying to drive back into town, but there were settlers blocking us. They said they'll let us drive through."

The American journalist then said that after about 10 minutes "15-20 SETTLERS APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE AND BEGIN HURLING HUGE STONES AND CHASING US WITH CLUBS. = EVERYBODY STARTS RUNNING.

In another post, he wrote, "Brutal settler attack in Turmus’ayya olive fields. Many injuries, including a woman knocked unconscious with a club and beaten repeatedly (2nd photo). The IDF lured us into an ambush, I have it all on video. Will upload as soon as I have good service."

Nonetheless, eyewitnesses said that settlers attacked olive pickers in the towns of Al-Mughayyir and Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, preventing them from completing their harvest, forcibly forcing them to leave their lands, and setting fire to two vehicles.

The witnesses noted that a foreign activist sustained bruises to his hand after being attacked by settlers in Turmus Ayya. A video clip circulated showing a paramedic trying to treat the activist, who was in pain following the attack.
