ALBAWABA- Amid escalating tensions, Israeli raids in southern Lebanon have resulted in casualties. According to a Lebanese medical source speaking to Al Jazeera, there have been reports of martyrs and wounded individuals following two Israeli airstrikes on the towns of Naqoura and Tair Harfa.
Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in the south confirmed at least one fatality and six civilians injured in the Israeli raid on Naqoura. The Israeli military has acknowledged carrying out the airstrikes, targeting both Naqoura and Tair Harfa.
Additionally, an Israeli military spokesman stated that the army has approved a training program this year aimed at enhancing the Air Force's readiness for potential conflict on the northern front.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz, quoting an Israeli army spokesman, highlighted the increasing tensions, noting that the depth of Lebanon is becoming a war zone.
The spokesman also reported that Hezbollah has begun taking risks, and Israel has observed the launch of 110 missiles from Lebanon in the past two days.
Despite the ongoing tensions, no agreement has been reached with Hezbollah thus far. However, the Israeli army spokesman suggested that the recent prisoner exchange deal in Gaza might contribute to reaching an agreement with Lebanon.
