US occupation troops in Iraq have found and returned to Israel an air force pilot helmet, the Israeli army said on Tuesday.
"The helmet of an Israeli air force pilot was found some weeks ago by US forces operating in Iraq and returned to Israel," the statement said.
"The airforce is trying to verify who wore the helmet during sorties across Iraq during different Israeli wars" with Arab countries, it stated.
According to Israeli media reports, the helmet was given to the Israeli embassy in Amman last week. (Albawaba.com)
