Israeli Parliament Speaker Abraham Burg is due to hold a meeting with the chairman of the Palestinian Parliament, Abu Ala, in Paris on Wednesday, during which the latter will invite Burg to visit the Palestinian Parliament in Ramallah.
The two are due to appear before members of the French National Assembly for discussions on means of renewing the Middle East peace talks. During the visit, French President Jacques Chirac will host a luncheon at the Elysee Palace for the two guests.
Burg's planned visit to Ramallah has sparked growing friction between the Right and Left factions of his parliament. Coalition heads meeting Monday decided to call on coalition parliament members to boycott the delegation. (Albawaba.com)
