At least six Palestinian civilians have been wounded by Israeli fire in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, WAFA reported Tuesday.
Earlier, Palestinian sources in Rafah said that Israeli occupying forces, escorted by D-9 heavy military bulldozers, invaded late Monday night the area of Bloc "O", south of Rafah City, and demolished at least ten houses.
Palestinian security and medical sources affirmed that while the bulldozers leveled the houses with the ground, the Israeli tanks and armored vehicles fired on Palestinian homes and properties in the area, resulting in the injury of five Palestinian civilians, including three children.
Officials at Abu Yousif Al Najjar hospital in Rafah mentioned that five persons arrived at the hospital with different degrees of wounds, all resulting from bullets and shrapnel. The injuries of the civilians and children were described as moderate.
The Israeli invasion of Tulkarem and its refugee camp continued for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, as raids and arrests resumed.
Early Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers arrested nine Palestinians from Tulkarem refugee camp, including six members of the Fatah movement, and one Palestinian activist that Israeli military sources claimed was going to carry out an attack inside Israel.
Furthermore, Israeli forces invading Tulkarem refugee camp closed the entrances of the camp with barbed razor wire, as they deployed infantry in the camp's streets and alleyways, the Qatar-based Al Jazeera TV reported. (Albawaba.com)
