ALBAWABA - According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, after more than two weeks of brutal siege on Gaza's largest medical complexes, Israeli troops have withdrawn from Al-Shifa Hospital after destroying all signs of life, causing irreversible damage across all its buildings.

The Ministry of Health released a statement following the withdrawal of Israeli troops, inspecting the massive damage that was left behind after the military operation that was allegedly aimed at destroying "Hamas strongholds" in Al-Shifa Hospital.

"Dozens of bodies, some of them decomposed, have been recovered from in and around the Al-Shifa medical complex," the statement reads.

Witnesses said that at least 300 bodies have been recovered from the hospital ruins as search efforts continue in hopes of finding any means of life in the destroyed medical complex.

"The Israeli Military withdrew from the Al-Shifa medical complex after burning down the complex buildings and putting it completely out of service," according to the statement.

Israeli Army Radio stated that the army killed at least 200 Palestinians and detained more than 500 others, as well as detaining 900 more for interrogation, out of 6,000 Palestinians trapped in the hospital during the brutal onslaught in the complex.

Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent Ismail al-Ghoul said that the Israeli troops left no sign of life in the complex. "Buildings in all departments have been burned, and the structure of the complex has been damaged from the inside,".

Israeli forces claimed that during their two-week operation, they "killed Palestinian gunmen and seized weaponry and intelligence documents". The raid on the hospital had been conducted while allegedly preventing harm to civilians, patients, and medical teams.

Several pictures and footage circulated on social media showing the horror left behind by Israeli soldiers, where all buildings of the complex were either leveled to the ground due to the continuous heavy artillery or parts of the buildings completely reduced to ashes.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 32,782+ people, with more than 75,298+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
