Israeli troops shot dead on Wednesday a Palestinian in Rafah in the far south of the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian security official told AFP.
Colonel Khalid Abul Ola said that the unidentified man was killed when Israeli tanks fired at three Palestinians who were trying to cross the Green Line into Israel. The fate of the other two is still unknown.
Earlier, the Palestinian official news agency (WAFA) reported that an 80-year-old Palestinian was run over by an Jewish settler in Forik, to the east of Nablus in the West Bank.
He was identified as Ibrahim Moussa Ghalami.
The agency quoted witnesses as saying that the settler “followed” the elderly at the entrance of the village and knocked him down “brutally.” – Albawaba.com
