ALBAWABA- Israeli airstrikes continued in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, killing three Lebanese civilians in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

In the first strike, an Israeli drone targeted a home in the Khillat al-Duraz area between Ainata and Bint Jbeil, leaving one person dead and another injured.

Shortly after, another airstrike hit a vehicle on the Beit Lif road in Wadi al-Oyoun, killing a second civilian. A third person later succumbed to injuries from the strikes.

Amid these violations, the Lebanese Army began operations to secure areas south of Khiyam and Ain Arab.

Engineering teams worked to clear unexploded ordnance and confirm the withdrawal of Israeli forces, supported by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The attacks come despite the November 27 ceasefire agreement, which ended over two months of intense conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

During the escalation, over 3,800 Lebanese, including many women and children, were killed, more than 15,000 injured, and 1.4 million displaced.

Israel’s repeated violations have deepened the humanitarian crisis and undermined regional stability.
