ALBAWABA- The Israeli Air Force has intensified its operations in Lebanon, targeting multiple Hezbollah sites. The Israeli army reported that warplanes struck two weapons depots belonging to Hezbollah in Houla and Taloussa.
Additionally, raids targeted Hezbollah military buildings and infrastructure in Mays al-Jabal, Aitaroun, and Yaroun. These airstrikes follow an Israeli raid on the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.
In response to the escalating situation, the Pentagon expressed concern about the rising tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border.
Pentagon officials are urging a diplomatic resolution, noting the large number of missiles exchanged across the border. They emphasized that there is still an opportunity for a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
The U.S. State Department announced that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will discuss the situation in northern Israel with an Israeli delegation.
The U.S. has reiterated its desire for a diplomatic resolution and is keen to avoid further escalation on the Israeli-Lebanese border. Officials highlighted that achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza could help de-escalate regional tensions.
