ALBAWABA- An Israeli airstrike killed two people and wounded two others in eastern Lebanon, marking a breach of the ceasefire, according to Lebanese state media.
The National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone carried out the strike on the town of Shaara, an area where Israel has previously targeted Hezbollah fighters.
The attack also struck the mountainous region surrounding the town of Janta in Lebanon’s eastern range. Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in the Bekaa Valley confirmed the casualties, reporting two fatalities and two injuries as an initial toll.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired flares over the skies of Alma al-Shaab, further escalating tensions along the Lebanese border.
At the UN, Russian envoy Vasily Nebenzia accused Israel of preventing displaced Lebanese civilians from returning home and engaging in provocative actions, including flying drones over the funeral of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
