ALBAWABA - Israeli politician Aryeh Deri said that his government is ready to agree on a 10-day truce with Hamas, Al Jazeera reported.
Aryeh Deri said that Israel is willing to increase the days of truce from 4 to 10.
Deri, who is one of the founders of the Shas political party, added that Israel approved the release of 300 Palestinian prisoners with the aim of returning 100 hostages.
After days of talks, Hamas and the Israeli government announced on Wednesday reaching a 4-day truce agreement. The truce conditions Hamas to release 50 Israeli hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
However, the truce has not gone into affection yet as according to the Israeli National Security Council the hostage swap deal with Hamas will not be starting before Friday.
