Palestinian Khader Anan was arrested by Israeli forces a day after being released from prison following a near-fatal 56-day hunger strike, AFP reported.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri told AFP “Khader Adnan was arrested because he had no right to be in the Old City of Jerusalem where free access is allowed to West Bank Palestinians only aged 50 and above, and he is just 37.”
Adnan had been in jail for over a year without charge or trial before being released Sunday.
