Israel launches second wave of airstrikes on Southern Lebanon as tensions escalate

ALBAWABA- Channel 13 Israel reports that the Israeli Air Force has initiated a second wave of extensive airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

 According to Israeli Army Radio, the air force bombed around 30 sites near the Litani River and Mahmoudiyah, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict. 

In retaliation, Hezbollah launched heavy Falaq missiles at Israel's Matla site.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that operations in the north will continue until their objectives are fully met. 

At the same time, the U.S. defense minister reiterated strong support for Israel’s actions against Hezbollah and Iran’s proxies in the Middle East.

The situation has intensified following an unprecedented Israeli cyberattack on Hezbollah’s telecommunications networks, which resulted in mass casualties. 

The attack caused dozens of deaths, hundreds of severe injuries, and thousands of minor injuries, with widespread explosions in homes, vehicles, and public spaces. This is considered Israel's largest strike against Hezbollah to date.
