ALBAWABA- Israel conducted a large-scale airstrike on Al-Qusayr, a town near Syria's border with Lebanon, marking the second Israeli raid on Syria within 24 hours.
Local sources reported intense strikes in the suburbs of Homs, close to Lebanon, with missiles allegedly launched by Israeli aircraft flying over Lebanese airspace.
The recent escalation follows a similar strike the previous day, when Israeli warplanes targeted the Sayyida Zeinab area south of Damascus. Explosions from that raid were reportedly heard across the Syrian capital.
According to Syrian media, the latest attack near Al-Qusayr focused on several sites, including vehicles and a cross-border passage.
Reports also indicated at least two casualties. These incidents underscore heightened tensions and increased military activity along Syria’s western border, an area of strategic importance in the region.
