Two unarmed Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers in separate incidents in the north and south of the West Bank, Palestinian hospital sources said.
Anwar Nassar, 39, was shot dead on the terrace of his house during a military incursion into Bala'a, near the town of Tulkarem, AFP reported.
Around 20 Israeli tanks entered the area early Wednesday and shots were fired during a search and arrest operation after a curfew was imposed, witnesses said.
Earlier, witnesses said tanks fired shells at the Palestinian National Security headquarters in Bal'a and
troops began house-to-house searches.
The army also said it had withdrawn from Askar refugee camp, near Nablus, after a one-day incursion.
Palestinians said curfews had been imposed on 14 other
villages north and east of Jenin, affecting 35,000 people.
In Beit Imra village, near Hebron in the south of the West Bank, Hassan Rasras, 32, was killed when soldiers opened fire on his car in an area where the Israeli army had forbidden Palestinian road traffic, witnesses said.
Two other Palestinians in the car, including one who was wounded, were detained, they said. (Albawaba.com)
