ALBAWABA - Israeli security forces are preparing for a possible Iranian attack inside Israel following the initial peace agreement with Lebanon, Walla news agency reported Sunday.
The agreement includes the disarmament of the Lebanese group, Hezbollah, and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from certain towns in Southern Lebanon.
The Israeli website quoted sources inside the Israeli army as saying that the signing of the agreement, scheduled for Friday, caused a "shock" within Hezbollah and Iran, because, according to the Israeli narrative, it includes the disarmament of the Iranian-backed group, its withdrawal from southern Lebanon, and paving the way for the normalization of relations between Lebanon and Israel.

The report added that the United States also offered incentives to encourage the agreement's implementation, including the possibility of Lebanon joining the Abraham Accords, along with substantial economic investments from the United States and the Gulf states.
The website explained that regional tension, and what Israel considers the potential repercussions of the agreement on Hezbollah’s military and political future, prompted the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman) to raise its level of readiness and strengthen early warning systems in anticipation of missile or drone launches from Iran or other countries.
