ALBAWABA - The Israeli army said on Tuesday that it targeted and killed Ali Shadmani, the newly appointed Chief of Staff, the Iranian regime's top military commander.
Avichay Adraee posted on X, "The Defence Forces killed for the second time the Chief of Staff of the Iranian War and the highest-ranking military commander of the Iranian regime, Ali Shadmani."
According to the Israeli military, the Iranian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces was killed during a precision overnight airstrike in central Tehran.
It is worth noting that Shadmani became Chief of Staff and Commander of the Armed Forces’ Emergency Command earlier in June, after the death of his predecessor, General Gholam Ali Rashid, in Israel's attack on Friday, June 13.
The army said that Ali Shadmani was one of the closest figures to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army confirmed carrying out several extensive strikes on military targets of the Iranian regime in western Iran and destroying multiple targets such as Surface-to-surface missile storage sites, launch infrastructure, surface-to-air missile launchers and UAV storage sites.
