ALBAWABA - According to local reports in Gaza, Israel has so far targeted 31 mosques, damaging them completely, while other 3 churches were severely damaged.
The Greek Orthodox church, located in the Zaytoun neighborhood, is the city's oldest and has traditionally served as a place of refuge for both Christians and Muslims during Israel's frequent aggressions on Gaza.
According to witnesses, an Israeli bomb severely destroyed one of the four buildings in the church property on Thursday evening, causing its ceiling to fall and trapping dozens of people under slabs of concrete.
