ALBAWABA - Two CNN Türk reporting team was detained live on air in Tel Aviv near Israel’s Kirya military headquarters.

A video went viral online after two journalists from Turkey, who work for the CNN channel, were arrested during a live broadcast in the capital of Israel on Tuesday, while reporting the Iran-Israel conflict.

Reports online revealed that Israeli security forces intervened in the journalists' work, confiscated equipment, and took them in for questioning. TRT World identified the journalists as Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman.

The Turkish website added that the two, who were reporting on the missile attacks in Tel Aviv, were detained by Israeli security forces.

The reason behind the arrest of the two CNN Türk reporters is still unknown, as no official source has come out with a clarification at this time. However, according to Milliyet's report, the Turkish journalist was drawing attention to the censorship and repression imposed on the media in Israel, emphasizing that foreign journalists, in particular, sometimes face similar interventions. The intervention came immediately after these words.
