Israel announces killing Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Aswad

ALBAWABA - The Israeli army announced in a statement on Wednesday that it assassinated Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Aswad.

Mahmoud al-Aswad is the Head of Hamas’ General Security Apparatus for the West Gaza area. 

The Israeli Army posted on X, "Al-Aswad was a significant source of knowledge for Hamas and a key figure."

The statement also reads, "Additionally, IDF troops are operating on the outskirts of Gaza City and in Khan Yunis to locate and dismantle terror infrastructure sites above and below ground and eliminate 'terrorists'."
