Iraqi Oil minister visits Tunisia

Tunisian Prime Minister, Muhammad al-Gnoushi received Iraqi Minister of Oil, Dr. Amir Muhammad Rasheed, who is currently paying a visit to Tunisia, INA reported Wednesday.  

 

In a press statement following the meeting, Dr. Rasheed said that he discussed the distinctive economic relations between Iraq and Tunisia and ways of developing them. He affirmed that relations between Iraq and Tunisia depict faithful political will on behalf of both governments, towards reaching economic integration.  

 

In addition, Rashid met with Tunisian Trade Minister Tahir Saoud. They reviewed ways of providing Iraq with oil equipment and discussed trade relations, INA said.  

 

The Oil Minister also met with Tunisian Health Minister al-Habeeb Mubarak. They exchanged views on means of enhancing health cooperation between the two friendly countries.  

 

Rashid separately met with Tunisian Industry Minister al-Munsif Bin Abdullah. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the high level of cooperation between Tunis and Baghdad. An agreement on bilateral cooperation was signed at the end of the meeting, INA added.  

 

Afterwards, Rasheed met with Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al-Habib Bin Yahya. In the course of the meeting, bilateral relations and ways of enriching them were reviewed. He expressed satisfaction over the economic and political ties between the two Arab countries. 

 

Present at the meetings was Iraq's ambassador to Tunis, Farouq Abduallh Hajazi. (Albawaba.com)
