Iraqi security forces have discovered the bodies of 53 men who had been bound and executed, AFP reports.
The men were found Wednesday in orchards south of Hilla. Sources say the murders could be motivated by sectarian tensions.
According to AFP, no group has claimed responsibility for the killings.
Iraq has been gripped with sectarian violence since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
