Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan called Saturday for the strengthening of economic cooperation between his country and Bahrain, the official INA news agency reported.
Ramadan was speaking to a visiting delegation of Bahraini businessmen and industrialists led by the head of the Bahrain chamber of commerce and industry, Khaled Mohammad Jassem Kanoo, INA added.
In January, an Iraqi trade ministry official said that discussions were under way to conclude a free trade agreement between Baghdad and Manama in accordance with similar accords Iraq has signed with a number of Arab countries. (Albawaba.com)
