At least ten people were killed and more than 90 injured in northern Iraq on Wednesday following a bomb attack on a political office, officials say.
According to reports, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside offices of the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) in the city of Kirkuk early on Wednesday.
The KDP is led by Massoud Barzani, the president of Iraq's largely autonomous Kurdish region.
The population of Kirkuk is made up of Kurds, Arabs and Turkomen, each of whom claim ownership of the city and the region's oil resources.
Wednesday's attack came before Iraq's central government and the Kurdish authorities' planned talks over the disputed territory.
Elsewhere,in the town of Tuz Khurmatu, 170km north of Baghdad, two more people were killed and 20 others wounded in a second attack outside the offices of another political party, the BBC reported.
