Five car bombs in central Iraq left at least seven people dead on Tuesday, according to Agence France Presse.
Separate suicide car bomb attacks in Baghdad, Karbala, Salaheddin and Wasit provinces left at least six dead, and a magnetic "sticky bomb" in Diyala killed a municipal council member. At least 32 others were also wounded in the events.
Iraq is witnessing one of its worst levels of violence in its recent history, comparable to the 2006-07 sectarian clashes that left tens of thousands dead.
AFP figures approximate this month's death toll to have already reached 250 based on medical and security sources' information.
