Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz on Sunday described those countries hoping to use their ties with Washington to help the Palestinians in their struggle against Israel as "liars".
"Whoever says that their relations with America can help the Palestinian people's struggle are fooling themselves and are liars," Aziz said during the opening of an international seminar on globalization, according to AFP.
"American imperialism and Zionism are one and the same," he conveyed.
Any attempt to make a difference between the two was "not only a political error but an unjustifiable plot after the flagrant US bias towards the Zionist entity."
The three-day seminar on "globalization and its impact on the Arab economy" has brought together some sixty experts from six Arab states and eight other mainly European countries, including Britain. (Albawaba.com)
