ALBAWABA - U.S. President Donald Trump moved USS Abraham Lincoln to the Middle East amid tension between Iran and the US, amid a possible new round of attacks between the two countries.

Despite the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, Tehran still has a vast missile arsenal, according to the Wall Street Journal report.

According to the American newspaper, Iran has approximately 2,000 mid-range ballistic missiles that can reach U.S. bases across the region and hit as far as Tel Aviv. This comes amid the U.S. warning to attack Tehran over its nuclear program and crackdown on anti-government protesters that has been going on for over a month.

In response, Iran has threatened that it will respond "aggressively" if it is attacked by the U.S., and Tehran's militia allies in Iraq also revealed they will join the side of the Islamic Regime.

WSJ report revealed that Iran has thousands of ballistic missiles ready, and with the ability to inflict serious damage on the U.S. and its allies in the Middle East.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that there were 30,000 to 40,000 American soldiers positioned in eight or nine facilities in the region within reach of Iranian missiles.

He said, "All are within the reach of an array of thousands of Iranian drones and short-range ballistic missiles that threaten our troop presence."
