ALBAWABA- The newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali Reza Enayati, landed in Riyadh on Tuesday to commence his diplomatic responsibilities. He was welcomed by officials from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In remarks disclosed by Iran's official news agency IRNA on Monday, Ambassador Enayati expressed optimism about the development of relations with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the need for collective cooperation in the region.
He conveyed his vision of strengthening ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, aiming for a positive impact extending across the Islamic world.
Enayati concluded by highlighting the potential for building a foundation of collective cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, free from foreign interference.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kana’ani, confirmed Enayati's arrival in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, emphasizing the ambassador's mission to foster bilateral relations, enhance cooperation, and promote shared interests between the two nations.
Simultaneously, Saudi Arabia's newly designated Ambassador to Iran, Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, has also touched down in Tehran to commence his diplomatic role. In a statement upon his arrival, Ambassador Al-Anzi remarked, "The directives of our sagacious leadership underscore the significance of fortifying relations, enhancing dialogue, and facilitating meetings between the Kingdom and Iran, with the goal of expanding their horizons."
