ALBAWABA - After news about his injury in U.S.-Israeli strikes during the first day of war on Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shares information about the health status of the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.

Mojtaba Khamenei, who replaced his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following his death in a joint attack by Washington and Tel Aviv on Feb. 28, was injured on the same day along with his father.

Earlier, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian's son, Yousef, said Mojtaba, the son of Ali Khamenei, is 'safe and sound' despite war injuries.

What's the current health status of Mojtaba Khamenei?

Iran's foreign minister denied allegations spreading online and by foreign media that the new supreme leader was severely injured and that he is under medical care and can't perform his role.

Abbas Araghchi said that Mojtaba Khamenei is in "good health and fully managing the situation."

Mojtaba Khamenei was chosen as the supreme leader of Iran on March 5, replacing his father, who was killed on the first day of the war in Iran. After the announcement of picking a new leader, the Israeli military said in a post on X in Farsi that it would pursue every person who seeks to appoint a successor for Khamenei, referring to the clerical body charged with choosing the country’s supreme leader.
